Summary

Reporting to the Foreman, the Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, repair, and adjustment of various components and systems on heavy equipment.

What does a Heavy Equipment Mechanic do?

- Assess the condition of heavy equipment on site by performing inspections and tests to identify damaged or worn parts;
- Replace defective parts, components, or systems using the appropriate tools;
- Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment, including lubrication, tire replacement, and tune-ups;
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, as well as air conditioning and greasing systems.

What do you need to apply?
- Vocational diploma and/or relevant experience in the field;
- Strong knowledge of the tools and equipment required to overhaul,



repair, and maintain heavy equipment;
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems.
