Role Description The Service Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Regional Municipality of Durham, ON. The technician will perform daily service calls, including diagnosing issues, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems at customer locations. Responsibilities include completing routine preventive maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, performing troubleshooting, and documenting all work performed. The role also involves communicating clearly with customers about findings, recommended solutions, and safety considerations,



while adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements. The technician will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring timely, high-quality service.

Qualifications

- Strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills for HVAC systems and related equipment.
- Proven Troubleshooting and Field Service abilities for diagnosing and resolving on-site technical issues.
- Customer Service skills to communicate effectively, explain work performed, and build positive client relationships.
- Relevant technical training or certification in HVAC, mechanical, or building systems (e.g., HVAC/R program, trade certification).
- Knowledge of safety practices, local codes, and regulations related to heating and air conditioning work.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and accurately.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for travel to customer sites within the region.
- Capability to work on-site in varying weather conditions and to lift, move, and install equipment as required.
