Requirements and qualifications

- Must have clean criminal background check
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- Must have valid Ontario CannSell Certificate
- Work experience in the retail cannabis industry is preferred
- Sound knowledge of cannabis retail products, plants and different strains is preferred
- Detail-oriented and able to handle cash and operate a POS system
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently/unsupervised
- Ability to take constructive feedback
- Ensure a high level of customer interaction, suggestive selling and enthusiasm
- Proven track record with demonstrated sales and customer service skills
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and communicate any disturbances
- Determine if any guests have physical restrictions that should be considered
- Educate and provide information to customers in an engaging manner
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols
- Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Ensure the cleanliness of the store at all times




- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume workplace
- Ability to work rotating shifts including, days, nights, holidays and weekends

Key duties and responsibilities

- Deliver a friendly and engaging educational experience to each customer who enters the store
- Confidently represent our company mission and brand values
- Troubleshoot in-store -issues as needed
- Ensure all customers entering the store are of legal age
- Recommend and execute sales promotions
- Cultivate long-term customer relationships through exceptional customer service and friendliness
- Stay up to date on current strains and product offerings
- Responsible for processing sales and all types of payments at POS terminal
- Helps maintain the cleanliness of the store by completing all daily opening/closing duties
- Follow guidelines and protocols as required by provincial regulatory bodies
- Recognize signs of impairment and/or abuse and immediately report this information to supervisor
- Ability to open and close the store independently

Applicants will be responsible for obtaining a police background check, worker security verification for retail cannabis workers and all other certifications outlined by the province of employment.

Job Types : Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.50-$19.50 per hour
