Automotive Receptionist / Cashier - Part-Time

(Morning Schedule) with Opportunity for Growth to Full-Time

About the Position

Experience in the automotive industry is a solid asset. We are looking for someone who understands the fast-paced nature of a repair shop, can communicate effectively with customers, and is comfortable working with repair orders, parts invoices, and service scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with service inquiries.
- Schedule and confirm service and maintenance appointments.
- Create and process repair orders and customer invoices.
- Enter parts purchases and supplier invoices into the shop management system.
- Process customer payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Maintain customer and vehicle records.
- Support service department with administrative tasks.
- Help ensure smooth daily operation of the front office and service department.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.

Qualifications

- Previous reception, cashier, or administrative experience.

- Automotive repair shop or dealership experience is a significant asset. :





- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance terminology.

- Familiarity with repair orders, parts invoicing, and customer billing.

- Strong customer service and communication skills.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Proficiency with computers and data entry.

- Experience with automotive shop management software is an asset.

- Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Schedule

Current Schedule : Monday to Friday, morning hours 8AM-1PM

Additional hours may become available based on workload and business growth.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cobourg, ON K9A 3C4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience :

- Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
