Job Title: Chef (Birch Island Resort) Location: Minaki, Ontario Term: Approximately 4 months (Starting June 1) Position Overview: Key Responsibilities: - Design and execute innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and ensure a memorable dining experience for our guests.. - Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food safety and hygiene. - Manage all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and presentation, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. - Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations. - Monitor food costs and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines while maintaining quality. - Ensure all dishes are plated and presented to the highest standards. - Engage with guests to receive feedback and make adjustments to enhance their dining experience Qualifications: - Proven experience as a chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a resort or hotel environment.



- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred. - Ability to work in a remote environment. - Passion for food and a creative approach to menu development. - Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and food safety standards. - Creative flair and a passion for culinary arts, with a focus on quality and presentation.
