Receiving Technician - Join Our Team!

Location : Olds, AB | Shift : Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

As a Receiving Technician, you will be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming materials from vendors and in-house manufacturing, verifying accuracy of shipments, and recording data that will be used to enter our inventory system. Additionally, some cross-training in the shipping department will also be included in this role.

What You Will Do :

- Receive and inspect incoming materials, ensuring that the quality and quantity of the shipments are accurate
- Pick parts for fabrication work orders, filling out pick tickets accurately
- Track, resolve and fill backorders
- Communicate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Maintain detailed accurate records
- Keep receiving area clean and organized, ensuring materials are properly secured before transport
- Ensure quality work is done in a timely and efficient manner
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work related processes
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
- Follow all safety policies and maintain integrity
- Pull warehouse items from the shelves based on number, size, color, quantity, and quality requirements
- Ensure that orders are accurate
- Stage items correctly for delivery




- Manage the preparation and timely shipment of customer orders by picking packing & shipping customer sales orders and warranty RMA’s in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other departments where and when required to help improve and maintain best in class packaging and shipping procedures including safe work practices
- Prepare waybills, BOLs, commercial invoices, and any other required shipping documents for outgoing international shipments when required
- Operate handling equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed
- Perform other general duties as needed

What We Are Looking For :

- Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft office products such as outlook, excel and word
- Forklift / pallet stacker experience considered an asset
- Experience in a similar role is considered an asset
- Ability to deal effectively & courteously with others
- Basic math skills
- Ability to pay careful attention to detail
- Strong written, verbal and organization skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, quality-production environment.
- Must possess good communication skills and a teamwork attitude.
- Be able to multi-task projects
- Have outstanding organization and time management skills
- Team oriented, positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Be self-motivated and work independently at times
- Have fundamental problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic
