In your role as the Inventory Control Accounting Clerk (internally known as Inventory Control Clerk) at The North West Company (TNWC) for the Inventory Accounting team ; you are responsible for maintaining merchandise information to provide accurate and timely inventory results for store operations.

Your Role:

- Review food and general merchandise Central Receiving documents to ensure the stores are complying with Central Receiving policies and action any discrepancies.




- Communicate with stores for receipt of weekly receiving registers, and follow up on missing packing slips, claims, and clarification of documents and inventory results.
- Analyze and adjust preliminary and stock ledger reports to reflect proper cumulative markup percentages, note and investigate all irregular markups that exceed the predetermined markup guidelines, and investigate errors in markdowns.
- Reconcile and balance store monthly stock ledger transactions to the general ledger for sales, end of period stock levels, and cost of goods sold.
- Calculate, analyze, and distribute store food inventory results on a quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis.
- Calculate, analyze, and distribute, store general merchandise inventory results on an annual basis.
- Respond to store and management queries.

Desired Skills & Experience:

- Must possess 1 to 2 years of related accounting experience or a combination of education and experience in a related field.
