Role Description The 313A/G1 Journeyman role at Temp Air Control is a full-time, on-site position based in New Tecumseth, ON. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems in commercial and industrial environments. Day-to-day tasks include performing diagnostics, completing scheduled preventive maintenance, calibrating controls, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. The Journeyman will interpret technical drawings and specifications, prepare work reports, and collaborate with project managers, designers, and other trades to support successful project delivery.



The role also requires adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures while providing qualified, customer-focused service. Qualifications
• Valid 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic license and G1 Gas Technician certification (or equivalent), with a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems and gas-fired equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control components in commercial and industrial thermal systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer documentation, with strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety, including familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safe work practices for HVAC/R and gas systems.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Comfort working on-site in varying environmental conditions, with the physical ability to lift equipment, use tools, and perform tasks at heights or in confined spaces.
• Experience in industrial or commercial projects, and a background in preventive maintenance programs, is considered an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to New Tecumseth, ON and surrounding job sites.
