Position Overview The Specialist, Classification is part of a team who is responsible for the classification of Future Electronics’ product for imports/exports, worldwide. This is to apply a Harmonized Tariff Number (HTS) and Export Commodity Classification number (ECCN) to each part created in inventory and update the information in Future’s database.. Responsibilities
• Work with Product Managers and Trade Team Members to effect classification of a high volume of parts created in Future’s inventory each day.
• Understand the regulations for imports and exports for each country where Future imports/export.
• Update the mainframe with the recent HTS and ECCN numbers.
• Answer Sales and Export inquiries concerning classification of parts for quote and/or export sales.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of a process to systematically review,



correct and maintain classification of all products in inventory.
• Work closely with team to assist with verification of HTS numbers for USMCA requests
• Assist Management on special requests as required. Qualifications and Experience
• A minimum of five years experience in Product Classification (HTS and ECCN)
• A minimum of five years electrical component product knowledge would be an asset
• College degree

• Good product knowledge
