Seeking a caring and creative full time Early Childhood Educator to provide a safe and engaging experience for all children at our current upcoming childcare facility. Following the childcare playing to learn curriculum, the educator plans and leads activities based on the interests and the developmental level of the children in our care.

Job Description
Care for 1-8 Children at a time (each day is different) Possible care for up to 1 baby while working together with one early childhood assistant and other children Engage with the children and lead them through the daily programming Facilitate snack time and lunch time Facilitate bathroom trips (change diapers, help with toilet if required) Develop and implement child care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest, provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor Establish guidelines for behavior Assess the abilities,



interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members Act as team leader to guide and ensure the smooth running of the facility Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and wellbeing of children Requirements & Qualifications Basic ECE certification from a program recognized in British Columbia Good verbal and written communication skills Any training related to child growth and development is an asset Emergency First Aid and CPR-C & AED certificate required (can be obtained with in 30 days after start date) Criminal Record Review by Ministry of

Education:
