Live-In OR Live-Out Nanny and Household Manager
- Newborn and Toddler, Oakville Start: late September 2026 Commitment: one year, with the goal of a long-term fit

Location:
north Oakville (private room and washroom provided)

About us
We are a family of four in north Oakville: two working parents, a daughter who turns two this fall and attends daycare on weekdays, and a baby due in the first week of October. We are looking for a warm, reliable, experienced nanny to join our home from late September, help us through the newborn months, and stay on as a core part of our household as both children grow. This is a live-in role. You will have your own bedroom and washroom, and meals with the family. A live-out arrangement may be possible for the right candidate. What the role involves Infant care (from October): feeding, bottles, naps, diapering, bathing, laundry, tracking feeds and sleep, and supporting mom's recovery in the early weeks. Toddler routine: mornings (waking, dressing, breakfast), walking or driving to daycare five minutes away, dinner, bath and bedtime, and age-appropriate play on days she is home. Household: daily tidying, weekly deep cleaning, family cooking and meal prep (healthy, simple meals for the whole family), laundry, and general upkeep so the home runs smoothly. Mom works from home, so you will often be caring for the baby while she is nearby. Availability required The schedule changes as the baby arrives and mom returns to work. All weekday hours are Monday to Friday.
* Late September 2026: three days a week, roughly 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., getting to know our daughter's routine and preparing the home for the baby.
* Early to mid October 2026 (approximately two weeks): roughly four to five hours a day, at a family member's home in Mississauga (ten minutes away) while mom recovers after delivery. A private room is available there if you prefer to stay over.

* Mid October to December 2026: a split day, roughly 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., with a long afternoon break.
* January 2027 onward: a split day, roughly 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with occasional additional hours when work requires it (with as much notice as we can give). Weekends and overnights are your own time. We will confirm the exact schedule together before you start and give notice of any changes. What we are looking for
* Real experience with infants and toddlers, ideally including a newborn in the home
* Comfortable running a household: cooking, cleaning, laundry, organizing, deep cleaning once a week
* Warm, patient, proactive, and reliable
- you notice what needs doing and do it
* Fluent English; other languages welcome
* Non-smoker
* Legally able to work in Canada
* Infant CPR and first aid (current, or willing to complete before October
- we will cover the cost)
* Up to date on vaccinations, including Tdap and flu, given the newborn
* Driver's licence an asset Required for the successful candidate
* Recent police record check and vulnerable sector check (within the last six months)
* Valid government-issued photo ID
* Three references with phone numbers, at least two from families you have worked for Compensation
* $25/hour
