Part time Mother's Helper / Household Assistant
- North Vancouver We are a friendly, easygoing family in North Vancouver expecting our first baby in November We're looking for a warm, reliable, and proactive Mother's Helper to join our household before the baby arrives and help us transition into life with a newborn. Schedule & Start Date
* Starting as soon as possible, ideally before our baby arrives in November
* Approximately 12 hours per week
* Ideally Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
* Approximately 4 hours per day, preferably mornings
* Flexible scheduling for the right person Responsibilities This is primarily a household support role with some newborn care. We're looking for someone who enjoys keeping a home organized and running smoothly. Responsibilities may include:
* General tidying and household cleaning
* Vacuuming, dusting, and making beds
* Laundry, folding, and putting clothes away
* Washing and sanitizing baby bottles and supplies
* Simple meal preparation and kitchen cleanup
* Organizing closets, drawers, and baby items
* Occasional errands and miscellaneous household tasks
* Providing occasional newborn care so Mom can rest, shower, or get things done
* Potentially walking our two dogs We have an Australian Shepherd and a Chihuahua mix,



so being comfortable around dogs is essential. Dog walking is a bonus, but not required. Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who is:
* Warm, caring, trustworthy, and dependable
* Organized, efficient, and proactive
* Comfortable taking initiative and helping wherever needed
* Experienced with newborns or infants
* Certified in infant CPR and first aid (or willing to obtain certification before providing independent infant care)
* Comfortable working in a home with two dogs Long-Term Opportunity While we're initially looking for approximately 12 hours per week, there may be opportunities for additional hours and increased childcare responsibilities as our needs evolve. Ideally, we'd love to find someone interested in building a long-term relationship with our family, with the possibility of transitioning into a more traditional nanny role when I return to work.
