Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc.

The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

What you'll do here: Analyze and interpret insurance policy wording to determine coverage and evaluate entitlements that are fair and equitable.



Communicate in a timely and respectful manner with customers, claimants, lawyers and insurers to settle claims and report findings and settlements. Conduct investigations and identify additional information such as medical examinations, customer medical or employment history as required to clarify and/or justify a claim. Ensure all cases are clearly documented and meet our legislative requirements. Identify process improvement needs and recommend changes to policies or procedures to improve quality service and competitiveness.

What you bring to the table: Post-Secondary Education in a health-related field or have worked in a medical setting and are proficient in understanding medical terminology. Previous claims adjusting experience is required. Accident Benefits claims handling is an asset. Working toward the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset. Alignment with IFC company organizational values. Have a strong ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Approach each claim with a team-oriented mindset which focuses on the needs of the customer and respects the parameters of the policy wording. A skilled communicator, in both verbal and written, allowing you to foster favourable business relationships.
