Collections and recoveries work meets bilingual communication in this temporary full time hybrid internship with CMHC in Ottawa. Help manage documentation and follow-ups.

CMHC is hiring a Summer intern from May through August 2027 for its Collection and Recoveries team. The internship supports practical learning through training resources, projects, and networking sessions. Candidates may be studying or recently graduated in business administration, commerce, paralegal studies, finance, accounting, or a related discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process incoming judgment and bankruptcy documentation accurately
- Coordinate action items and follow up with management
- Recommend approvals and courses of action for legal issues
- Update databases and systems within division turnaround times




- Communicate with lenders, trustees, solicitors, and service providers

Requirements:

- Current enrollment or recent graduation in a related discipline
- Related banking, accounting, legal assistant, or paralegal experience
- Strong oral and written communication in both official languages
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Reliability Status security requirement and BBB language levels
