Porter is hiring an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to help improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of a modern cloud platform supporting thousands of users.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work closely with Software Developers, Cloud Engineers and Cybersecurity to improve platform reliability, automate operational processes, and build world-class observability.

Unlike a traditional infrastructure-focused SRE position, this role is best suited to someone who has a strong software development background (particularly .NET) and enjoys solving production challenges through code.

Build dashboards, monitoring, alerts, and service health metrics, and administer the underlying observability platforms

Design and maintain automated workflows for certificate expiry, host health, and other operational risk monitoring

Analyze application performance and resolve bottlenecks

Improve deployment pipelines and operational tooling

Contribute to infrastructure as code and cloud automation across compute, networking, and identity

Maintain integration and API layer reliability, including error-rate monitoring and alerting

Support change management processes (CAB) for infrastructure and monitoring changes

Create and maintain automated solutions for repetitive tasks, including infrastructure and application and patch monitoring.

Optimize monitoring agents for cost management and performance.

Implement auto-discovery and AI solutioning to ensure infrastructure reliability and efficiency

Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Use Infrastructure as Code tools to automate monitoring across AWS resources





Implement and maintain configuration management tools to standardize and automation configurations

Monitoring and Alerting

Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of the infrastructure.

Application Deployment and Support

Deploy, configure Dynatrace and Splunk to support applications and services on AWS infrastructure.

Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize and automate CI/CD pipelines.

Work with IT Security to ensure cloud infrastructure aligns with security best practices and compliance requirements

Work with internal architecture, Solution Delivery(PMO), governance, and security teams to ensure that all security, governance and business continuity requirements and best practices are integrated and implemented.

Implement Security Monitoring Auto-discovery.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders, DevOps, and third-party vendors for deployments and fixes.

Work within a cross-functional team of System Ops Engineers, App Admins, Data Engineers DevOps and DBA’s to specify, design, develop, test, and implement AWS cloud services and solutions.





Work closely with internal business partners to gather requirements, design and implement solutions, manage technical operations, and triage and resolve operational issues.

Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for critical incident resolution.

Passenger/Customer Service:

Providing service excellence to internal and/or external customers (passengers).

Focusing efforts on achieving high quality results consistent with the organization’s standards.

Listening and communicating openly, honestly, and respectfully with different audiences, promoting dialogue and building consensus.

Solid software development experience in .NET (C#) or other object-oriented languages

AWS cloud services, including ECS and EC2 (Windows/IIS-hosted applications)

CloudWatch alarms and metric math for operational monitoring

CI/CD pipelines

Administering monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace and Splunk

Application Performance Monitoring (APM)

Production troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Windows Server and IIS environments

Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash or similar)

Linux systems administration
