Fully onsite in Kanata, Ontario

Senior Software Engineer – Embedded Software Test & Automation to join the Enhanced Central Gateway (ECG) team This team develops the critical software infrastructure that enables Ethernet connectivity, networking, security, power management, and advanced application features in next-generation vehicles.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, execute, and automate software tests for embedded vehicle platforms

Create test plans and test designs from software requirements and architecture documents

Perform test execution, root-cause analysis, defect triage, and validation of fixes

Develop automation scripts and test applications using Python and C/C++

Maintain and enhance automated test frameworks, libraries, and tools

Analyze and report test coverage metrics





Collaborate with software developers, product owners, and test teams throughout the development lifecycle

Participate in continuous quality and process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of software development and/or automation testing experience, preferably on embedded platforms
- Working knowledge of C++ or C
- Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies
- Familiarity with distributed and multi-threaded systems
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with JIRA

Experience with automated test environments

Familiarity with C++ unit testing frameworks

Knowledge of CAN and Automotive Ethernet

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
