CANDU Energy Inc./ AtkinsRéalis Nuclear Inc. is actively seeking qualified Intermediate Electrical Designer to support engineering roles for nuclear projects in major areas, such as, new build in the province of Ontario, international new builds, refurbishment, and continuous plant operation support modifications for nuclear power plants.
This position requires working on rapid paced technically complex projects in the nuclear industries. Prepare electronic documents in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation; Sketching, and three-dimensional computer modeling.
Prepare engineering deliverables for both nuclear and conventional systems in accordance with AtkinsRéalis Nuclear Inc. / Candu Energy Quality Assurance Programs and project requirements.
Apply relevant Codes & Standards and regulatory requirements and coordinate with design team to ensure the compliances.
Interface with Engineering teams, throughout the lifecycle of the design project (i.e., from preliminary and conceptual engineering to detailed design, implementation and close-out) to provide practical and effective solutions as per requirements.
College diploma or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 5 years in electrical design and drafting.
Working knowledge in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Raster Design, Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Micro Station, NavisWorks Freedom and SolidWorks
Ability to take marked up engineering drawings and incorporates changes into AutoCAD files.




Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE Standards), Canadian Standards Association (CSA Standards), ASME Code knowledge considered an asset
