- Lead the design of cutting-edge, industry-first automation systems using a first-principles approach
- Gather design constraints and produce complex 3D models based on a knowledge of pneumatics, motion (motor control & drives), materials, and manufacturing processes
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, specifications, and release bills of materials; CSA, ISO, ANSI, OSHA, customer specific)
- Establish robust supply chains and manage low-cost manufacturing partnerships
- Confer with colleagues, suppliers, contractors, customers, and relevant authorities to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and create appropriate technical documentation, including machine manuals
- Set goals, develop, and maintain equipment build schedules for project launches
- Research and evaluate mechanical products for application feasibility by applying knowledge of engineering principles for our continual product development
- Support equipment installations, operation, maintenance,



and repairs to ensure that machinery is installed and functioning according to intended specifications
- Lead and participate in mechanical design reviews
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering; 5+ years of robotic systems integration experience in a custom automation environment
- Practical hands-on mechanical aptitude and a sincere passion for engineering, robotics, and automation
- Extensive experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- A portfolio of automation projects in which you made significant contributions
- A willingness to participate in all technical areas of the business as needed to solve complex problems and achieve business impact
- Ability to travel to our Calgary factory
- Ability to travel internationally
