- Aquatics Internal/External Posting Date: October 09, 2026 2026 Hourly Rate: $36.39 after probation The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for a part-time Aquatics Lifeguard/Instructor I. The lifeguard/instructor I must have a minimum of one year experience in an aquatic environment. Provides instruction, supervision and ensures safety for swimming and other aquatic programs. Ensure that all necessary equipment is in good working order and ready for immediate or emergency use. Monitors and records pool conditions when necessary. Current National Lifeguard Award (Pool Option). Lifesaving Swim Instructor certification. Compliance with and approval of a Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector. The ideal candidate possesses the capacity to perform all duties in a protected manner while fostering positive relationships with both the public and fellow staff.
