As a Spare Express Freight Services Worker, you will support Rail Transportation under the Supervisor Express and Heavy Freight. Your work helps maintain freight movement connected to the Polar Bear Express and James Bay Coast communities. Duties include waybills, warehouse handling, baggage, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records for yard, train, and express activities
- Communicate rates, shipping details, timelines, and waybill information
- Place local freight and dispatch transship freight correctly
- Load and unload vehicles, baggage, and customer freight
- Operate forklifts and motorized warehouse equipment
Requirements:
- Secondary diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to lift and handle loads up to 75 pounds
- Availability for shifts, weekends, and outdoor work
- Valid G2 or G driver's license required
- Computer, communication, and safety skills
