Operate heavy equipment at Scotts Miracle-Gro, using PIT vehicles and loaders to move materials, finished goods, and production stockpiles safely.

The Plant Operator operates Powered Industrial Trucks, front end loaders, and other equipment. This work supports material movement, organic mix preparation, stockpile management, and continuous production supply. The operator may also perform Order Filler and Checker duties while maintaining secure vehicle operation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate PIT vehicles, front end loaders, and other equipment
- Move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise
- Load and unload trucks and flatbeds
- Prepare organic mixes using heavy equipment loaders
- Monitor stockpiles, manage heat, water, and small fires

Requirements:

- At least one year operating PIT or heavy equipment
- Ability to work in a team
- Basic addition, subtraction, and division skills
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to complete pre-shift inspection forms
