I am in Calgary, Alberta, seeking a compassionate elder care provider to join me on a part time basis. My primary goal is to find a dedicated individual who can offer companionship and personal care for my mom for 9 days while i am on vacation. I am the only one here and she needs someone who can come in and talk and sing and tell jokes every day for 2 hours around the dinner hour. From 5 - 7 or 6 - 8 pm. This would be going to the Walden Age care facility in SE Calgary and just providing companionship, no nursing involved. .I am looking for someone who understands the importance of companionship and can offer genuine care and attention to my mom with dementia. She can't hear well and sometimes talks jiberish, but sitting with her and her friend is important while i am gone.The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing friendly conversation and support, and helping with day-to-day activities, which may include taking her downstairs for some recreation activities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable environment.We offer a competitive wage of $25 per hour.
