The Hydrovac Operator is responsible for the successful completion of the hydro excavation process. Dig trenches, holes and other excavation, as required. Properly secure and transport equipment to work site and safely off-load. Completes daily pre-work inspection reports; inspects tires, controls, fuel; forwarding to the Fleet and Equipment Supervisor weekly. Informs and advises the Fleet and Equipment Supervisor of repairs or maintenance required. Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc. Corrects unsafe conditions in work area and reports any conditions that are not correctable to Foreman/In-Charge immediately. Completes FLHA daily upon arrival at the job site. Ensures public safety around the job site (work zones). The Operator may also be on occasion required to work overtime. Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license and experience operating a manual transmission tri-drive truck.



~ Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract. ~ High school diploma or equivalent. ~ Experience using small power tools is an asset, including: Needs to be aware of other trades personnel working in the same job site. Direct communication with other employees, including work crew, office administrators & management.
