Cultural Sensitivity: Demonstrate cultural awareness when working with diverse communities, ensuring meaning and tone are faithfully conveyed while respecting cultural nuances. Reading and Oral Translation: Read and orally translate written materials such as application forms, medical records, or legal documents. Facilitating Access to Services: Support vulnerable populations by breaking down linguistic barriers in crucial interactions. Travel: Travel to assignment locations as required; Remote Assignments:
Handle over‑the‑phone or video interpretation assignments; can work from home where applicable. Fluency in English and Barka (Berka) Kunama (both written and spoken). Transportation: Ability to travel to different locations as needed; Legal Eligibility: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
