Technical Lead
Reports To: Technical Supervisor
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Edmonton, AB
About Client A national audio visual and technology integrator delivering design, installation, commissioning, and service for customers across Canada. Their teams take projects from kickoff through testing, documentation, end-user training, and ongoing support, with a focus on technical quality, professionalism, and the highest level of customer satisfaction at every stage.
Why This Role
This is the role where great technicians become great leaders. As Technical Lead, you will guide the hands-on side of complex AV projects from kickoff through completion, setting the standard for how systems are installed, commissioned, tested, and documented, and showing the team what excellent work looks like every day.
You will work at the center of each project, alongside Project Managers, Technical Supervisors, architects, general contractors, and clients, while directing installation crews and subcontractors on the ground. Every project is different, and your judgment, experience, and calm under pressure will determine how smoothly it comes together.
You will also shape the next generation of the team through coaching and mentorship, build your reputation with clients, and have real room to grow with a national organization that values quality, professionalism, and continued learning.
The Technical Lead is responsible for leading the technical implementation of AV projects from kickoff to close-out. Working closely with management and clients, this role ensures all project systems are installed, configured, tested, and documented to industry standards, while directing other technical staff and subcontractors and setting an example for process, workflow, and day-to-day operational discipline.
