About us Worley is a global company of energy, chemicals and resources experts headquartered in Australia. We partner with our customers to deliver projects and create value across the life of their assets. We specialize in consulting, engineering, procurement and construction across the project lifecycle, with services extending through to operations and decommissioning. Leveraging extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we support customers in navigating complexity as they meet today's needs and transition to more sustainable solutions.
Purpose Worley is seeking a Senior Planner/Scheduler to join our project controls team either at Markham home office or our Oakville office location. This position will be responsible for establishing overall, integrated EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management) P6 schedules, including schedules for bids/proposal. Candidate is expected to fully understand all aspects of the EPCM life cycle as it relates to schedules, how to achieve integration amongst several contributors (i.e. Contractors schedules), and how to properly resource load in all phases of the project. In addition, they will need to utilize all the tooling available to them to achieve these goals, including: deliverable lists, engineering and procurement flow charts, 3D models, work packages, drawings, and estimating information.
In addition to building these schedules, and most importantly, the planner/scheduler will be required to provide ongoing updates, maintenance,
and analysis of their schedules. The planner/scheduler will consider identification of issues often and early as instrumental to the success of their role. They should be able to identify solutions for most of the common issues with this type of schedule and correct for them without intervention from project or client management.
The Planner/Scheduler will provide detailed time analysis to the integrated project team and will inform them of potential delays and/or opportunities in an expeditious fashion. Able to perform and excel in a fast-paced environment and willingness to be flexible depending on departmental requirements e.g. accountability for multiple projects may be expected.
