Job Overview

- We are seeking a dependable, guest-focused Assistant Manager/Server to support daily restaurant operations while providing attentive, welcoming service.
- This hands-on role combines serving and guest services with shift coordination, team support, and a commitment to quality, food safety, and sanitation.

Duties

- Welcome guests, answer questions, take orders, and provide attentive service throughout each visit.
- Use the restaurant’s POS system to enter orders, process payments.
- Handle cashiering and cash handling accurately, including balancing transactions according to established procedures.
- Recommend menu items and use appropriate upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience.
- Support daily shift operations by helping coordinate service, communicating priorities, and assisting team members as needed.
- Help monitor supplies and place orders.




- Resolve routine guest concerns professionally and refer complex issues to the appropriate manager.
- Use time management and sound judgment to balance guest needs with service and operational responsibilities.

Requirements

- Previous restaurant experience or food service experience preferred; experience in the food industry is an asset.
- Experience with serving, customer service, or guest services in a hospitality setting preferred.
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems
- Knowledge of food safety, food handling, and sanitation practices.
- Basic math skills for order accuracy, payment processing, and routine calculations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing tasks, stay organized, and maintain strong time management in a busy environment.
- Clear communication, a qualified approach, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to provide courteous service and remain composed during busy shifts.
