Provide comprehensive primary care in Nanaimo, BC, using Family Medicine expertise and solid skills in Urgent Care. This contract role is on-site during agreed clinical hours.

As a Family Physician with Island Health, you will care for patients of all ages in an on-site clinical setting. The work combines Primary Care, Medicine, Urgent Care, and Community Health. You will support continuity, prevention, and coordinated care within an interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct patient assessments across all ages
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Provide preventive care and coordinate specialty referrals
- Participate in urgent care when needed
- Maintain documentation and follow evidence-informed guidelines

Requirements:

- Expertise in Primary Care and Family Medicine
- Clinical proficiency in Medicine and Urgent Care
- Licensure or eligibility with British Columbia’s physician college
- Family Medicine certification, such as CCFP or equivalent
- Current CPR/BLS certification and inclusive-care commitment
