Teach Functional Skills English at HRUC’s Harrow-on-the-Hill and Harrow Weald campuses, supporting vocational learners aged 16-18 full time.

This Lecturer position focuses primarily on cross-College Functional Skills English delivery. You may also teach GCSE English while helping vocational learners progress onto higher courses or the workplace. Experience in Functional Skills English, literacy, ESOL, or EFL is required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver Functional Skills English across the College
- Teach primarily vocational learners aged 16-18
- Support learners’ development and progression
- Teach some GCSE English where required
- Teach one Thursday evening until 9.00pm

Requirements:

- Experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills English
- Experience engaging 16- to 18-year-olds
- Degree or equivalent in English or related subject
- Level 5 further education teaching qualification, or willingness to train
- At least two years’ proven teaching experience with Level 3 alternative
