Job Overview

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Cabinet Designer to develop functional, attractive cabinetry solutions for residential or commercial spaces. The role combines space planning, CAD and SketchUp modeling, material selection, and visual presentation. The ideal candidate can translate client needs and project specifications into clear designs that are practical to build and install.

Duties

- Meet with clients and project teams to understand design goals, space requirements, style preferences, and functional needs.

- Create cabinet layouts, elevations, and detailed drawings using CAD, SketchUp, or comparable design tools.

- Develop digital concepts, renderings, and presentations that communicate dimensions, finishes, hardware, and other design details.

- Select and coordinate materials, colors, finishes, and hardware while considering durability, construction requirements, and the overall visual design.

- Revise designs based on client feedback, site measurements, and input from production or installation teams.

- Check drawings and specifications for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements.

- Apply relevant visual communication skills, including graphic design, typography, and Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign,



to prepare polished presentations and supporting materials.

- Use related creative skills where useful, such as digital design, visual arts painting, construction painting, fashion design, Sketch, HTML, and CSS.

- Bring familiarity with motion graphics, Adobe After Effects, Maya, 2D animation, or 3D animation to enhance visual presentations when appropriate.

Experience

- Experience in cabinet, kitchen, bath, furniture, interior, or related product design is preferred.

- Proficiency with CAD and SketchUp, or comparable drafting and 3D modeling software, is strongly preferred.

- A portfolio demonstrating strong visual design, spatial planning, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate design concepts is an asset.

- Familiarity with cabinetry materials, construction methods, hardware, measurements, and installation considerations is beneficial.

- Additional experience in graphic design, digital design, Adobe Creative Suite, animation, web design, or other visual arts is welcome but not required.

- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and revision-management skills are significant.

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
