About the Position

Park View Homes is looking for a reliable, hardworking Carpenter to join our construction team!

This is a hands-on position supporting the construction of new residential homes at our developments throughout Ottawa and the surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate has practical carpentry experience, is comfortable using hand and power tools, and takes pride in completing quality work. You'll work alongside our Site Supervisors and construction team to complete a variety of carpentry tasks while helping keep projects on schedule.

We're looking for someone who is dependable, works well with others, and is willing to jump in wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Carpentry & Framing: Complete assigned rough and finish carpentry tasks, including basic framing, installations, repairs, and adjustments.
- Construction Support: Work with the Site Supervisor to complete daily tasks and support construction schedules.
- Quality Workmanship: Ensure work is completed accurately and according to company standards. Identify and report any deficiencies or concerns.
- Site Safety & Cleanliness: Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work setting.
- Materials Handling: Assist with receiving, unloading, organizing, and preparing construction materials as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside other carpenters, labourers, and trades to keep construction activities running smoothly.
- General Site Duties: Assist with additional construction and site-related tasks as required.

Qualifications & Skills





- 2–3 years of hands-on carpentry or residential construction experience preferred.
- Experience using common hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques, measurements, and construction materials.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Physically capable of performing construction-related tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to various job sites.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
