About the Position We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Carpenter's Helper / Construction Labourer to join our team and assist our Lead Carpenter on residential renovation projects throughout Greater Victoria.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working with their hands, has a positive attitude, and takes pride in quality workmanship.

We currently anticipate approximately 1–2 months of work, with full-time hours available during the initial project period. Ongoing hours will depend on project schedules and workload.

There is potential for continued part-time or full-time employment as KATO Renovations grows and additional projects become available.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Lead Carpenter with residential renovation projects.
- Perform demolition, site preparation, and general construction labour.
- Assist with framing, flooring, drywall preparation, finishing carpentry, and other renovation tasks.
- Load, unload, and organize construction materials and tools.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites.
- Assist with material pickups and waste disposal as required.




- Safely operate hand tools and power tools appropriate to experience and training.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain professional jobsite standards.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and subcontractors.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Previous construction, carpentry, or residential renovation experience is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is an asset.
- Reliable transportation to jobsites throughout Greater Victoria.
- Ability to perform physically demanding construction work safely.
- Solid work ethic, punctuality, and dependability.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced carpenters.
- Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Positive, respectful, and professional attitude.
