Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, dependable Cashier to provide efficient checkout service and a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling transactions, answering product questions, and supporting sales and merchandising in a retail environment. This role requires explicit communication, accuracy, and a customer-first approach.

Duties

- Greet customers and provide attentive, helpful customer service throughout the checkout process.

- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process purchases, returns, and other transactions accurately.

- Handle cash and other payment methods responsibly, provide receipts, and maintain an organized checkout area.

- Use basic math to verify transactions and resolve routine checkout discrepancies.

- Answer customer questions about products and services; demonstrate products when appropriate.

- Support retail sales by identifying customer needs, recommending relevant products, and using appropriate upselling techniques.

- Assist with merchandising, including stocking,



organizing, and maintaining product displays.

- Respond to customer inquiries in person and follow professional phone etiquette when handling calls.

- Coordinate tasks efficiently and keep the work area clean and orderly.

Skills

- Cashiering, cash handling, and POS experience are helpful.

- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

- Basic math skills and attention to detail.

- Retail sales experience; technology sales or technical sales experience is a plus.

- Confidence presenting products and conducting product demos.

- Ability to support merchandising and make relevant product recommendations.

- Effective time management and the ability to stay composed in a busy environment.

- Proficiency in English is required. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.

Pay: $16.90-$17.95 per hour
