Extend Pharmacy is Ottawa's specialty cancer care pharmacy. Extend Pharmacy serves to improve the cancer medication experience for lives affected by cancer. Our specialized oncology pharmacy team delivers cooperative person-centred care to patients across a wide spectrum of oncology & hematology malignancies within an innovative referral, monitoring and dispensing-based pharmacy clinic practice.

Position Summary The Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving Extend Pharmacy Group's external communications and marketing initiatives. This role combines people leadership and management, strategic planning, content creation, project management, and process optimization to ensure communications are clear, consistent, engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities.

This role works closely with clinical, operational, and external partners to advance organizational awareness, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support growth initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Healthcare, Business, or a related field.




- Five or more years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, stakeholder engagement, or related roles.
- Demonstrated success managing complex projects and competing priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with websites, social media platforms, digital communications, and content management systems.
- Strong organizational, project management, and relationship-building capabilities.

Preferred

- Experience in healthcare, oncology, pharmacy, patient advocacy, or not-for-profit environments.
- Familiarity with brand management, healthcare communications, and quality improvement methodologies.

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
