Oakville Estates Retirement Residence, our newest luxury residence in beautiful Oakville, Ontario, is seeking dynamic and passionate Cooks to join our growing team. This is an prospect to make a meaningful impact on our residents’ lives while helping shape the dining experience at our newest location.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Cook, you will prepare meals according to established menus, recipes, and standards, ensuring food is appetizing in both taste and appearance. You will support a safe, clean, and organized kitchen while working collaboratively with the culinary team.

Schedule

- Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
- Day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established menus, recipes, and standards.
- Present meals in an appetizing manner, maintaining quality in both taste and appearance.
- Handle food safely and comply with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Assist with serving meals and provide excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to support effective workflow.
- Stay informed about food preparation techniques and industry trends.

Qualifications

- Valid Food Handler Certification required.
- At least one year of cooking experience required.




- Experience in quantity food preparation required.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and its use required.
- At least one year of retirement home experience preferred.
- Previous hospitality experience is an asset.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with kitchen, dietary, and care teams to meet residents’ dining needs.
