We are seeking a agile and forward-thinking Curriculum Area Leader to join our English.

The role supports the Head of Faculty in leading high quality provision for all students studying English GCSE and Functional Skills. This will be achieved by line managing teachers and support staff to ensure high performance and an exceptional student experience. The postholder will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment, that results in students gaining key academic and employability skills that will support them in achieving their next steps into employment or continued education.

This is an opportunity to build on the strong foundations already established within a large department comprising English, Maths, ESOL & Community Learning. Contributing to the continued growth of a diverse portfolio of provision, your leadership will be key in strengthening existing successes, maintaining high achievement rates, and driving further continuous improvement across the faculty.
