Overview

We are seeking a dependable Day Porter to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming commercial facility throughout the day. This hands-on role supports daily building operations by responding to cleaning needs, keeping shared spaces presentable, and assisting with basic facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain lobbies, restrooms, hallways, and other common areas.
- Monitor high-traffic spaces and address spills, litter, and other cleaning needs promptly.
- Restock restroom and facility supplies and report low inventory.
- Collect and dispose of waste and recycling according to site procedures.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks and repairs.
- Report safety concerns, or facility issues to the supervisor.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and follow established procedures.
- Help keep entrances and surrounding areas neat and presentable.
- Provide courteous, professional support to building occupants and visitors.
- Ensure cleaning tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with established standards.
- Replace lighting tubes and bulbs.




- Maintain exterior entrance walkways including light snow shoveling and salting.
- Maintain cleaning logs, inspection checklists, and basic operational records.

Requirements

- Experience in cleaning or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic facilities maintenance or maintenance tasks is an asset.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and prioritize requests.
- Dependability, attention to detail, and a professional, service-oriented approach.
- Ability to perform routine physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and moving cleaning supplies.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and learn site-specific procedures.
- Must have positive communication skills.
- Must have own vehicle and valid drivers license.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
