What you’ll do

As a Deli Production Clerk, you'll play an important role in preparing, portioning, and packaging our fresh deli products. Working behind the scenes, you'll help ensure our products meet Summerhill Market's high standards for quality, freshness, and presentation.

- Prepare, slice, portion, weigh, and package deli meats, cheeses, and other specialty products.
- Assemble and package charcuterie selections and prepared deli items.
- Operate deli slicers, scales, and other food preparation equipment safely.
- Label, date, and rotate products according to food safety standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized production areas.
- Monitor product freshness, quality, and inventory levels.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing deli products.
- Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and production schedules.
- Work collaboratively with the deli production team to meet daily production targets.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation,



and workplace health and safety procedures.

What we’re looking for

- Previous experience in food production, deli, grocery, or a commercial kitchen is an asset.
- Comfortable working with deli slicers and food preparation equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working in refrigerated environments.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude.
- Adaptable availability, including weekends and holidays as required.
