South Coast Dental Care is looking for a positive, reliable and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our team!
We are a busy, well-established dental office in Port Dover with a friendly, supportive team and a strong focus on patient care. We take pride in creating a welcoming environment for our patients and an enjoyable workplace for our staff.
This is a maternity leave position beginning as soon as possible and expected to continue until approximately September 2027, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role.

What You'll Be Doing As part of our clinical team, you'll help ensure patients have a comfortable, positive dental experience while keeping our daily schedule running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include
- Providing chairside assistance during general dental procedures
- Preparing and organizing treatment rooms
- Taking digital dental radiographs
- Following sterilization and infection prevention protocols
- Maintaining accurate patient charts and clinical records
- Assisting with impressions and laboratory procedures
- Helping maintain an organized and efficient clinical environment
- Working closely with our dentists, hygienists and administrative staff
Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, friendly and takes pride in their work.
Our ideal candidate
- Has Level II Dental Assistant certification (preferred)
- Is comfortable working in a busy dental environment
- Has strong organizational and communication skills
- Is a team player with a positive attitude
- Understands proper sterilization and IPAC procedures
- Is attentive to detail and able to anticipate clinical needs
- Has experience with ClearDent (an asset, but not required)
