Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and organized Dishwasher / Prep Cook to support daily kitchen operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, washing dishes and kitchen equipment, and assisting with basic food preparation to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Key ResponsibilitiesDishwashing and Cleaning

- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and workstations.
- Dispose of garbage and recycling properly.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

Food Preparation
- Wash, peel, chop, and prepare vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
- Assist cooks with basic food preparation and kitchen tasks.
- Portion and store ingredients according to kitchen standards.
- Label and date food items and maintain proper food storage.
- Follow recipes, instructions, and food handling procedures.
- Keep food preparation areas clean and organized.

General Duties
- Assist the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Restock kitchen supplies and cleaning materials as needed.




- Follow instructions from the chef or kitchen manager.
- Work cooperatively with other team members.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous kitchen, dishwashing, or food preparation experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced kitchen environment.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as required.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset.
- Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions
- Fast-paced restaurant or commercial kitchen environment.
- Requires standing for extended periods and handling hot water, cleaning products, and kitchen equipment.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required.
