Overview

We are seeking a patient, attentive Dog Groomer to provide safe, high-quality grooming services and a positive experience for pets and their owners. The role involves caring for dogs with a range of coat types, sizes, and temperaments while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe grooming area.

Responsibilities

- Consult with pet owners about grooming preferences, coat condition, and any special handling needs.

- Bathe, dry, brush, and groom dogs according to requested styles and appropriate breed or coat-care practices.

- Trim nails, clean ears, and perform other routine grooming tasks within the scope of the role.

- Handle and position dogs carefully, using calm, humane techniques and appropriate safety equipment.

- Monitor pets for signs of stress or discomfort and communicate concerns to the owner or appropriate team member.

- Provide courteous customer service, answer routine questions, and help ensure a welcoming experience.

- Clean and sanitize grooming tools,



tubs, tables, and work areas between appointments.

- Safely lift and assist dogs as needed, including heavy lifting when handling larger pets.

Requirements

- Experience in dog grooming or a related animal-care role is preferred; relevant training or a willingness to learn is welcome.

- Demonstrated patience, compassion, and confidence working with dogs of different sizes and temperaments.

- Solid communication and customer-service skills.

- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift or assist dogs, including heavy lifting.

- Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to animal safety and cleanliness.

- Ability to follow grooming procedures, sanitation practices, and workplace safety guidelines.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
