Job Summary

- We are seeking a dependable Equipment Operator/Labourer to support construction and sitework projects. This hands-on role combines operating heavy equipment with general labour duties to help crews complete work safely, efficiently, and to project specifications.

- Work may involve preparing and maintaining job sites, moving materials, assisting with excavation or paving activities, and coordinating with other crew members.

- Candidates with experience on Caterpillar equipment, commercial driving, or specialized construction equipment are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and graders, as assigned.

- Perform labouring tasks, including site preparation, material handling, cleanup, and assisting equipment operators and construction crews.

- Support excavation, grading, paving, and horizontal drilling work as project needs require.





- Complete routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance; report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.

- Follow site plans, instructions, traffic controls, and established safety procedures.

- Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members to keep projects on schedule and maintain an orderly work area.

Experience

- Previous construction experience and heavy equipment operation experience are preferred.

- Experience with dozer, loader, backhoe, excavator, or grader operation is an asset.

- Familiarity with gravel pit stripping

- Mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify basic equipment issues are beneficial.

- Applicants should be safety-conscious, reliable, and comfortable performing physical labour outdoors and working as part of a crew.

Pay: $22.51-$40.81 per hour
