The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic ESL instructor who can deliver high-quality English instruction and help develop a sustainable language-learning program.

The ideal candidate may already have private students, experience teaching newcomers or international learners, or an entrepreneurial interest in building an ESL program.

A profit-sharing arrangement is our preferred collaboration model. We are open to discussing a mutually beneficial structure based on teaching responsibilities, student recruitment, program development, operating expenses, and each party's contribution.

- Plan and deliver engaging ESL lessons for adults and/or other suitable age groups.
- Assess students' English proficiency and adapt lessons to their learning goals.
- Develop curriculum and learning materials for speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and practical communication.
- Recruit and develop a student base through professional networks, community outreach, referrals, and appropriate marketing.

- Availability during some or all of our weekday daytime hours, ideally between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
- Willingness to collaborate on student recruitment and program growth.

Preferred Qualifications

- TESL, TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Experience teaching adult learners, newcomers to Canada, international students, or learners preparing for further education or employment.
- An existing student network or experience attracting and retaining students.
- Experience developing lesson plans, courses, workshops, or educational programs.
- Additional language skills that support communication with English-language learners.
