TechConnect Corporation is expanding its team to support a growing portfolio of in-building wireless projects in Calgary and Edmonton.

We are looking for experienced DAS technicians with strong hands-on skills in coax-based and fibre-fed digital distributed antenna systems (DAS/DDAS), Pico Cell installations, and head-end builds.

If you can build a clean head end, install and test RF cabling, and troubleshoot in-building wireless infrastructure, we want to hear from you.

What you’ll do

- Install DAS and Pico Cell infrastructure in commercial buildings and other indoor environments.
- Build and dress head-end equipment racks, including mounting equipment, cable management, grounding, bonding and labelling.
- Install coaxial cable, connectors, splitters, couplers, antennas and related RF components.
- Install fibre infrastructure connecting head-end equipment, distribution equipment and remote units.
- Terminate, inspect, clean and test fibre connections; perform splicing where qualified.
- Complete coax testing, including sweep, return loss, distance-to-fault and PIM testing, as required.
- Read and work from installation drawings, RF designs, cable schedules and equipment layouts.
- Troubleshoot installation deficiencies and support commissioning and acceptance testing.
- Produce accurate test results, installation photos, cable records and as-built markups.
- Coordinate with project managers, site contacts and other trades to deliver safe, organized installations.

What you bring
- Direct installation experience with coax-based DAS and fibre-fed digital DAS systems.




- Demonstrated experience building head ends and installing remote units and antennas.
- Solid coax connector preparation, termination and RF cable-handling skills.
- Working knowledge of fibre handling, connector inspection, cleaning and testing.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and complete work with minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel to project sites.
- A commitment to safe work practices and complete, accurate documentation.

Additional assets
- Previous in-building wireless or Pico Cell project experience.
- Experience with RF sweep/PIM equipment, OTDRs and optical power meters.
- Fibre fusion splicing experience.
- Experience leading installation crews or coordinating work on site.
- Current fall protection, aerial work platform or other relevant safety certifications.
