Role Description

Vantix Laser Canada is looking for a skilled and motivated Welder / Metal Fabricator to join our team in Lumby, BC. This is a full-time, on-site position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, fitting, assembling, and welding metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Perform MIG (GMAW) and flux-core (FCAW) welding on steel components.

Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.

Measure, cut, fit, and assemble structural steel and custom metal components.

Operate fabrication equipment, including saws, grinders, drills, and other shop tools.

Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working setting.

Work independently and collaborate with the fabrication team to meet production deadlines.





Assist with laser welding and other advanced manufacturing technologies as required.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of welding and metal fabrication experience preferred.

Strong fitting, layout, and blueprint-reading skills.

Experience with MIG and flux-core welding.

CWB certification is an asset.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good attention to detail, workmanship, and safety.

- Experience with CNC laser cutting or laser welding is an asset, but not required.
