The Forklift
Operator prepares warehouse loads and unloads building materials through safe lift truck operation. This position requires forklift certification, two years' experience, communication, basic mathematics, and hand tool skills. The work supports accurate, scheduled shipments and customer demands.
Key Responsibilities: Inspect lift trucks daily and complete required forms Build orders according to required delivery specifications Load and unload building materials safely and efficiently Check contents, secure materials, and verify shipment accuracy Maintain supervisor contact while resolving issues Requirements: Valid propane forklift certification Minimum two years' experience Effective written and oral communication skills Knowledge of basic mathematics Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Bring certified lift truck operation, warehouse accuracy, and protected material handling to GMS Canada’s Maple location.
