Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused Front Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, lead and develop a retail team, and deliver a welcoming, efficient shopping experience. This hands-on role combines store management, retail sales, and sales management with responsibility for merchandising, staffing, administrative processes, and store performance.

Responsibilities

- Lead, supervise, and support store employees, setting clear expectations and fostering a collaborative, service-oriented team.
- Recruit candidates, conduct interviews, and help select team members who align with the store’s needs.
- Coordinate onboarding, training, and ongoing training and development for staff.
- Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cashiering, POS transactions, and accurate cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service, respond to questions or concerns, and help resolve issues professionally.
- Support retail sales and sales goals by coaching employees, maintaining robust product knowledge, and identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience.
- Plan and maintain merchandising, product displays, and store presentation; monitor inventory and product availability.
- Assist with purchasing, vendor discussions, and negotiation as needed.
- Review product pricing and promotions,



and coordinate local marketing activities in line with store guidelines.
- Monitor store expenses and contribute to budgeting, sales tracking, and operational planning.
- Maintain accurate records and support payroll, bookkeeping, and other administrative tasks.
- Communicate clearly with employees, customers, and business partners; use professional phone etiquette when handling calls.
- Organize competing priorities, schedules, and deadlines with strong time management and organizational skills.

Experience

- Previous retail management, store management, or sales management experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated supervising experience and team management skills, including the ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees.
- Experience with customer service, retail sales, cashiering, POS systems, and cash handling is an asset.
- Familiarity with recruiting, interviewing, payroll, purchasing, merchandising, pricing, budgeting, or bookkeeping is beneficial.
- Strong leadership, communication, math, time management, and organizational skills.
- Administrative experience and confidence handling routine records and operational details are preferred.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are an asset.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
