Full-Time Café Team Lead

Riverdale Perk Café has been a neighbourhood favourite since 2004. We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and enthusiastic Café Team Lead who loves great food, coffee, and hospitality.

We are a small, hardworking team looking for someone who takes initiative, leads by example, and knows how to keep a busy café running smoothly.

The Role

This is a full-time, hands-on position combining team leadership, kitchen operations, food and beverage preparation, and customer service.

You will be responsible for opening the café on designated days, overseeing staff, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring food and beverage preparation and service run smoothly.

You willalso work alongside the team in all areas of the café. We’re looking for someone who can take charge when needed and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.

Your Responsibilities

- Lead and support the team during daily operations
- Coordinate kitchen prep, lunch service, and staff responsibilities
- Prepare fresh food, sandwiches, salads, and other café favourites
- Assist with espresso drinks and customer service
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Monitor inventory, deliveries, and daily supplies
- Keep the café clean, organized, and running efficiently




- Handle challenges, solve problems, and lead by example

What We’re Looking For
- Full-time availability, including weekends
- Previous café, restaurant, or kitchen experience
- Experience supervising staff or leading shifts
- Strong organization, communication, and multitasking skills
- Confidence working independently and making decisions
- Valid Food Handler Certificate
- Reliable, proactive, and calm under pressure
- A positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
- Someone looking for a long-term role
