JOB SUMMARY We are currently seeking a polished and service-driven In-Room Dining Server to join our dynamic F&B; team. The In-Room Dining (IRD) Server is responsible for delivering elevated food and beverage service experiences to hotel guests through professional, timely, and service-focused In-Room Dining operations at Paradox Vancouver.

This role supports day-to-day IRD operations by ensuring accurate order delivery, polished presentation, operational readiness, and compliance with hotel service standards, departmental SOPs, and guest expectations. The IRD Server also supports Paradox Breakfast operations and collaborates closely with Culinary, Front Office, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth and consistent guest experiences.

The role will contribute to guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, service consistency, and Forbes-level hospitality standards aligned with Paradox Vancouver’s luxury lifestyle positioning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES





In-Room Dining Service Operations:

- Deliver food and beverage orders promptly, professionally, and accurately to guest rooms in accordance with hotel service standards and operational procedures.
- Ensure tray, table, and in-room presentation standards align with departmental SOPs and luxury hospitality expectations.
- Verify order accuracy, guest preferences, and billing details prior to delivery.
- Maintain professional communication and guest engagement throughout the service experience.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding menu offerings and hotel services where appropriate.
- Support timely tray retrieval and maintain cleanliness of guest hallways, service areas, and operational stations.
- Handle guest concerns and service recovery situations professionally and escalate operational issues where required.

Paradox Breakfast Operations Support:

- Support Paradox Breakfast dine-in operations through food running, guest service, table maintenance, and operational readiness duties as assigned.
- Ensure breakfast service standards, cleanliness, setup requirements, and guest interactions align with hotel expectations and SOPs.
- Support smooth breakfast service flow through teamwork and communication with Culinary and Operations teams.

SOP Compliance & Operational Readiness:

- Maintain compliance with departmental SOPs, service standards, grooming standards, safety procedures, and operational requirements.
- Support operational readiness through proper setup, stocking, organization, and maintenance of IRD service stations, pantries, carts, and equipment.
- Ensure proper handling of chinaware, glassware, cutlery, linens, and operational supplies to minimize breakage and operational losses. Follow established payment handling, billing,



and guest check procedures accurately.
- Teamwork & Operational Support · Work collaboratively with IRD, Culinary, Front Office, Banquet, Stewarding, and Operations teams to support efficient guest service delivery.
- Support event-related IRD operations, VIP arrivals, and high occupancy service periods where required.
- Assist with opening, closing, side duties, and operational support tasks as assigned.

Teamwork & Operational Support:

- Work collaboratively with IRD, Culinary, Front Office, Banquet, Stewarding, and Operations teams to support efficient guest service delivery. ·
- Support event-related IRD operations, VIP arrivals, and high occupancy service periods where required. ·
- Assist with opening, closing, side duties, and operational support tasks as assigned.

Other Duties:

- Perform other duties, projects, or assignments related to the role as required to support Food & Beverage Operations and guest service delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

Required:

- Food Safe Level 1 and Serving It Right certification required.
- Previous food & beverage, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work mornings, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts based on operational requirements.
- Strong communication skills with excellent command of English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a rapid-paced environment.
- Professional grooming and service presence consistent with luxury hotel standards.
- Team-oriented, reliable, and guest-focused mindset.

Assets:

- Previous In-Room Dining, Breakfast, Banquet, or luxury hotel experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Forbes-level service standards and luxury hospitality operations is an asset.

Pay: $19.33-$23.64 per hour
