Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman/Woman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electrical operations, supporting our ongoing projects and facility needs.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse electrical systems, including low voltage and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), while contributing to high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

Duties

- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide installation and repair work.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial environments using hand tools and power tools.
- Work with low voltage wiring systems, including control panels and communication lines, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks and process control systems.
- Perform renovation projects by upgrading or replacing existing electrical infrastructure in commercial or industrial facilities.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure code compliance.




- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to install wiring, conduits, outlets, switches, and other electrical components.
- Apply handyman skills as needed for minor repairs or adjustments around the facility to support overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Valid journeyman/woman electrician license or certification demonstrating comprehensive electrical knowledge.
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or in a similar construction-related electrical role.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment used in electrical work.
- Experience working with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices for renovation projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail during troubleshooting processes.
- Hands-on experience with schematics interpretation and electrical system diagnostics is highly desirable.
